Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Derrick Rose will not play against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night.
Rose has been experiencing discomfort in his left ankle and will miss the game in order to rest and recover. He had already missed four games because of a sprained ankle this season. With him sidelined, Iman Shumpert will start with LeBron James taking on even more of the point guard duties on Thursday.
Prior to being ruled out, Rose was projected for 16.9 points, 3.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 27.5 FanDuel points against the Rockets. His projected 28.1 minutes should be split up between Shumpert and others in the Cleveland backcourt.
