Spurs' Kawhi Leonard (quad) to remain out on Sunday
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard will sit out again on Sunday, reports the San Antonio Express-News' Tom Orsborn.
As he continues to deal with a serious quad injury, Leonard has yet to take the floor this season. There hasn't been many updates of late and the Spurs are playing this one really close to the vest. The most recent suggestion is that Leonard will return at some point within the next 20 days but that hasn't been confirmed by the organization. This might be totally dependent upon the team's success over the next few weeks, but until that time Kyle Anderson will continue to start. LaMarcus Aldridge will also maintain his spot as the team's top go-to option on the offensive end.
Leonard averaged 25.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game a year ago. He's projected for 24.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists a game in 2017-18.
