For the first time this season, Charlotte Hornets guard Michael Carter-Williams (knees) will be available to play off the bench on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Carter-Williams is unlikely to play many minutes tonight, but could make his season debut. Malik Monk has done a capable job as a backup point guard, so Carter-Williams could have a small role out the gate.
Carter-Williams is coming off a down season with the Chicago Bulls in which he averaged just 6.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 18.8 minutes a game.
