Cavaliers say Tristan Thompson (calf) will miss 3-4 weeks
Cleveland Cavaliers forward/center Tristan Thompson will miss 3-4 weeks with a left calf strain, the team announced on Thursday.
That's slightly more optimistic than an earlier report from Shams Charania of The Vertical, who said Thompson was expected to spend a month on the Cavaliers' sidelines. Kevin Love will log most of his minutes at center while Jeff Green and Jae Crowder should both see a boost in playing time.
Thompson is averaging 13.7 FanDuel points with 4.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game on the year. Moving forward, numberFire's models project him for 8.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 28.9 minutes per contest over the rest of the 2017 season.
