Dallas Mavericks small forward Dorian Finney-Smith has been battling tendinitis in his knee, according to Mavs.com's Earl K. Sneed.
Finney-Smith came into the season after seeing substantial run in 2016-17. However, he's been absent from the rotation of late, being replaced by Maxi Kleber as one of the team's backup forwards. This is more than likely the reasoning for the switch so we'll have to wait and see if Finney-Smith can get back to relevance after he rests up.
Through 5 games, the 24-year-old has tallied 16 points and 7 rebounds in 59 minutes. He appeared in 81 games for Dallas a year ago.
