Luol Deng is out of the Lakers' rotation indefinitely

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton said that forward Luol Deng will not be a part of the Lakers rotation going forward.

What It Means:

Deng played on opening night, but he's been inactive over the last two games. LA simply has too much young talent on the wing to play the aging swingman, and while they would love to trade him, Deng is owed $53.8 million over the next three seasons, making him unmovable. It's becoming one of the worst free agent signings over the last few seasons.

As a member of the Lakers, Deng is averaging just 7.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists with a 38.7% shooting percentage over the last two seasons.
