Marcus Smart (ankle) out Friday, Celtics going big with Aron Baynes
Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart is out on Friday, reports MassLive's Jay King.
Smart rolled both of his ankles in the previous game and was particularly bothered by a left ankle sprain. His absence will leave the Celtics a little low on guards. Terry Rozier should see more time backing up Kyrie Irving, while coach Brad Stevens goes big with Aron Baynes at power forward and Jayson Tatum at small foward.
Smart is averaging 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 67 minutes so far this season.
