Patrick Beverley harasses Lonzo Ball in Clippers' season-opening win
Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley scored 10 points and managed two steals as his defense was on display in a lopsided win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
What It Means:
Beverley clearly took it as a duty to welcome Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball to the league. According to ESPN's Marc Spears, Beverley said, "Bring him out on the court with me and I will tear his [expletive] up." Ball committed two turnovers while the Clippers' starting point man managed three boards, one assist and one block across 24-plus minutes.
At $5,400, Beverley ended the game with 23.1 FanDuel points. He probably didn't play as many minutes given the blowout nature of the game. However, next time out we project Beverley to rack up 31.5 FanDuel points in 31.7 minutes against the Phoenix Suns.
