76ers' Joel Embiid excites in season-opening performance
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid played 27 minutes, scoring 18 points while adding 13 rebounds in Wednesday's loss to the Washington Wizards.
Embiid was expected to be on an 18-to-20 minute limit, but even he was "surprised" that he exceeded that on opening night. Nevertheless, NBA and 76ers fans have to be encouraged by Embiid's involvement and his production level.
On 15 field goal attempts and 4 free throw attempts, Embiid worked his way to 37.1 FanDuel points in the 76ers' narrow loss. Based on his performance, we like him to total 35.3 FanDuel points in 28.1 minutes on Friday against the Boston Celtics.
