Jeremy Lin (knee) leaves Nets' season opener early

Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin left Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.

What It Means:

Lin injured the knee after landing awkwardly on a layup attempt. He appeared to be in pain while being helped to the locker room and is set for further testing on the knee. D'Angelo Russell will likely slide in as the starting point guard if Lin's injury is proven to be serious.

Before leaving the game, Lin had 18 points, 4 assists and made 1 of his 2 three point attempts in 25 minutes.
