Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki: 'Twenty seasons is unbelievable'
As he prepares for this season, Dallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki said, "Twenty seasons is unbelievable."
Nowitzki spoke about the honor of being mentioned alongside Kobe Bryant, who he will tie on Wednesday for playing his 20th season with one franchise. He also reflected on his career and his ability to stay healthy in recent years. He attributes his continued work to the team environment as he also admits that he is no longer the focal point he used to be on the offensive end.
In his 20th year in the league, we project the 39-year-old Nowitzki for 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 27.2 minutes a game and 66 games. As for his debut against the Atlanta Hawks, our models have him pegged for 26.7 FanDuel points at $5,400 on Wednesday night.
