Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is evaluating his surgical options after undergoing an MRI and CT scan in Boston.
On Tuesday night, Hayward left the game after suffering a graphic leg injury. He has since been diagnosed with a dislocated ankle and broken left tibia, but his ankle was reset on the court and the fracture was reportedly a "clean break", meaning no ligament damage. While that's a good sign, Hayward will probably have to go under the knife and miss the rest of the season either way.
Projected for 20.5 points and 34.6 minutes per game this season, Hayward's injury will open up more opportunities for Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
