San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (quad) will not play against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the season opener Wednesday night.
Leonard has missed the entire preseason since hurting his quad early in training camp. The All-Star forward remains without a timetable and could sit out multiple games. Kyle Anderson or Rudy Gay are expected to start in his place.
Our models project Leonard for 24.7 points, 2.1 three-pointers, 6.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game in the 2017-18 season.
