Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will not play in Wednesday's regular season opener, according to the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell.
The team has yet to reveal why Kidd-Gilchrist will be away from the team, but we hope all is well with him. Meanwhile, Steve Clifford said that he won't commit to a starting lineup, but Jeremy Lamb should start with Dwayne Bacon or Marvin Williams at the small forward slot. That could push Frank Kaminsky into a starting role on Wednesday.
Our models project Kidd-Gilchrist for 786 points, 537 rebounds and 114 assists over 2,301 minutes and 77 games in 2017-18.
