Tony Allen (ankle) expected to play in Pelicans' season opener

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Tony Allen is expected to play in Tuesday's season opener, reports The Times-Picayune's Will Guillory.

What It Means:

Allen missed Saturday's preseason finale with soreness in his ankle, but the 35-year-old appears ready to go for opening night. He might not play big minutes early on or at all this season, but Allen should certainly help the team's defensive mindset with a veteran presence.

In his return to Memphis, our models project The Grindfather for 7.8 points and 18.5 FanDuel points at a price of $3,600 on Wednesday night against the Grizzlies.
