Spurs exercise team option on Dejounte Murray
The San Antonio Spurs have exercised guard Dejounte Murray's third year team option.
What It Means:
Murray was used minimally over his first two years in the NBA, playing as a backup and a spot starter. With Tony Parker set to miss the first few months of the season, Murray has a great opportunity to make the case that he is the Spurs' point guard of the future. Patty Mills should also see more time along with Murray until Parker is back.
