Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Allen Crabbe is expected to start the season in a reserve role, per ESPN.
Crabbe looks to be the odd man out as the NEts prepare to start a backcourt of Jeremy Lin and D'Angelo Russell with DeMarre Carroll at small forward, Ronda Hollis-Jefferson at power forward, and Timofey Mozgov at center. Crabbe, the team's highest-paid player, says he won't push to be made a starter, leaving it up to the coaches.
Our models project Crabbe for 12.0 points, 2.5 three-pointers, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game this season.
