Kyrie Irving excited about playing for Celtics

Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is excited by the amount of history and culture surrounding his new city and team.

What It Means:

"It's so exciting to see just the amount of culture that's here, man," Irving explained. "That's what I'm more excited about. I feel it, I know it...seeing everybody here and all the fans and how excited they are for the season to get started." The Celtics open the season on Tuesday against Kyrie's former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it's clear that the All-Star point guard is eager to put all the offseason drama in the past. He remains an early-round fantasy target.

numberFire's models project Kyrie to average 27.6 points, 6.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 2.7 3-pointers per game while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from downtown.
