Report: Joel Embiid could have minutes limited to start 76ers' season
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid could have his minutes limited in the teens to start the season according to the Bucks County Courier Times' Tom Moore.
While the Sixers are refusing to give specific numbers in regards to Embiid's minutes on Wednesday, Moore seems to think the team will limit him out of the gate. Coming off meniscus surgery and with a general cautiousness already being applied to Embiid's workload, it would be surprising to see him play much more than 20 minutes on opening night. With Richaun Holmes dealing with a wrist fracture, there are some minutes available to Jahlil Okafor early in the year.
Our models project Embiid to average 20.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.7 blocks over 29.4 minutes per game this season.
