Houston Rockets center Clint Capela will become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2018 after he and the team could not agree on a long-term extension.
The deadline to sign extensions is Monday and it appears the two sides are too far apart to make a deal happen before the season starts. Capela is rising on fantasy draft boards and could be in for a breakout campaign in 2017-18 with Chris Paul coming on board.
Our models project Capela for 14.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks over 28.2 minutes per game this season.
