Denver Nuggets forward/center Mason Plumlee has excelled in his bench role during the preseason, and will look to do the same in the 2017-18 regular season.
Over five games, Plumlee has averaged 8.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 20.9 minutes per game. As the team's primary backup big, he also shot 68% from the field on the offensive end. He may not get huge minutes behind Nikola Jokic, but he's certainly a good per-game option in deeper fantasy basketball leagues.
Plumlee is simply a late-round target, yet if Jokic or new addition Paul Millsap are to miss any time with injury he would be a great pickup across-the-board. Over 74 games and 18.6 minutes per, we expect Plumlee to tally 7.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists a game this season.
