Spurs' Kawhi Leonard (quad) is expected to miss season opener
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (quad) is expected to miss Wednesday’s season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Leonard has missed the entire preseason while recovering from a quad injury, and also hasn't practiced since the start of training camp. The Spurs are likely just being extra cautious, but there is still no timetable for when he will return.
Assuming health, numberFire's models project Leonard for 24.7 points, 2.1 three-pointers, 6.6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting 49.3% from the floor in 2017-18.
