Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic plans to hit restricted free agency next summer
Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic plans on becoming a restricted free agency in the summer of 2018, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.
The Blazers acquired the 23-year-old Nurkic in a trade with the Denver Nuggets in February of last year. After coming over, Nurkic became the team's starting center and was largely productive in 20 games and 19 starts. If he does, in fact, hit the market next year, he'd be one of the best centers out there.
In his first full season in Portland, we project Nurkic for 14.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in 2017-18. He's the 25th-ranked center in our fantasy rankings and is going in the 5th round of standard Yahoo! drafts.
