Warriors' Omri Casspi to sit out Saturday's preseason game
Golden State Warriors forward Omri Casspi will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Denver Nuggets.
According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, Casspi will sit in observance of Yom Kippur. His absence will leave minutes to share between Patrick McCaw, Nick Young and Michael Gbinije on the wing. Casspi will make his team debut in China next week.
Across 3 teams, Casspi averaged 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game a year ago. We project him for 4.2 points over just 13.3 minutes a game in his new role with Golden State.
