Bulls' Zach LaVine won't take contact until November
Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said that guard Zach LaVine (left knee) probably won't be cleared for contact until mid-November, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
The Bulls are going nowhere this season, so they will be cautious with the best piece they received from the Jimmy Butler trade. LaVine tore his ACL in February, and it looks like his best case scenario is being cleared to return sometime in December. Even then he'll have a strict minutes limit and he will likely not play back to backs, making his fantasy value quite limited in 2017-18.
Before going down with injury, LaVine was on his way to a career year, averaging 18.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 2.6 three-pointers per game, all career highs last season.
