Spurs' Rudy Gay (Achilles) says he's been fully cleared

San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay (Achilles) said he's fully cleared and that the rehab process is going great.

What It Means:

"It’s great. I actually worked out today. I’m fully cleared to do everything. I’m fine now. The team, it has its own planning with me. But I’m ready to go. I’ll definitely be ready by camp," Gay replied when asked about how his rehab process was going. He added some high praise about the Spurs and that he believes head coach Gregg Popovich will take his game to the next level. While this all sounds great, Gay's fantasy value will be limited next season, as he turns 30 in August and his usage rate figures to take a pretty significant hit in San Antonio after he was a go-to guy in Sacramento with the Kings.

Prior to the season-ending injury, Gay averaged 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 1.4 3-pointers per game for the Kings. He earned a -0.5 nERD in 30 contests.
