The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in free agent guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope so long as he's willing to sign a one-year deal with the team, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
After acquiring Avery Bradley via trade, the Detroit Pistons announced that they are renouncing Caldwell-Pope, which means that he's up for grabs in the free agent market. Many expect the Brooklyn Nets to be a leader in the pursuit of the young wing's services, but Wojnarowski's sources indicate that the Lakers would be interested under the right circumstances.
Caldwell-Pope's -1.4 nERD would position him 5th among Lakers players currently locked in for the 2017-18 season.
