Dion Waiters signs four-year, $52 million deal with Heat
Miami Heat guard/forward Dion Waiters is finalizing a four-year, $52 million deal to re-sign with the team, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Philly Cheese is staying in Florida, which isn't surprising after the Heat missed out on free agent target Gordon Hayward. Dion Waiters and Josh Richardson should share the wing minutes, and while the 25-year-old Waiters is entering his prime, J-Rich has the better upside.
Waiters scored 16.5 points per game during his 43 starts in 2016-17 while making 2.0 three-points per start. His -2.6 nERD was 235th among forwards in the league this year (275 qualifying) and second-worst on the Heat.
