Patrick Patterson signs with Thunder for three years

Free agent forward/center Patrick Patterson, formerly of the Toronto Raptors, has agreed to a 3-year, $16.4 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

What It Means:

Patterson projects to fill the void left by Taj Gibson, who left Oklahoma City for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He'll likely be the second big off the bench for the Thunder but won't see enough playing time to be a factor in standard formats.

Patterson averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 triples in 24.6 minutes per game for Toronto last season. His 0.1 nERD on the year fell just inside the NBA's top-150 players.
