Otto Porter agrees to max offer from Nets
Washington Wizards restricted free agent forward Otto Porter has agreed to a four-year, $104 million max offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets.
The Wizards, who have said all along that they will match any offer Porter signs, will have 48 hours to do. David Aldridge of NBA.com is reporting that they will stay true to their word, but Brooklyn would actually be an optimal landing spot for Porter in terms of fantasy value, so dynasty owners should be hoping that Washington balks. The 2013 third overall pick just turned 23 last month.
Porter paced the Wizards roster with a 9.4 nERD in 80 games last season, finishing 20th out of all NBA players. He averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.9 3-pointers in 32.6 minutes per contest.
