George Hill agrees to three-year, $57M deal with Kings

Former Utah Jazz point guard George Hill has reached an agreement on a three-year, $57 million deal with the Sacramento Kings, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

What It Means:

In a somewhat surprising move, the rebuilding Kings have signed the 31-year-old point guard to a three-year deal. It looks like Hill will help mentor rookie De'Aaron Fox with the duo splitting time at the point and Fox possibly playing alongside Hill at the two. Buddy Hield will lose some minutes with the addition of Hill as well.

Hill averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while posting a 5.9 nERD rating, ranking him 33rd among all 486 NBA players last season.
