Darren Collison agrees to two-year deal with Pacers

Sacramento Kings guard Darren Collison has agreed to a two-year deal with the Indiana Pacers worth $20 million.

What It Means:

Collison immediately becomes the starting point guard on the rebuilding Pacers. He will team up with Victor Oladipo in the backcourt to provide Nate McMillan one of the fastest backcourts in the NBA. Collison is also familiar with Indiana as he spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Pacers.

Collison averaged 13.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 77.6% from the field. He posted a -1.0 nERD rating, ranking 300th out of 486 NBA players last season.
