Ben McLemore joins Grizzlies on two-year deal

The Memphis Grizzlies are finalizing a two-year, $10.7 million deal with free agent guard Ben McLemore, formerly of the Sacramento Kings, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

What It Means:

McLemore was also linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Milwaukee Bucks afer the Kings declined to make him a restricted free agent. With Tony Allen and Vince Carter both on the open market, McLemore could enter the fantasy conversation in Memphis if he winds up taking over the shooting guard job.

In 61 games (27 starts) for the Kings last season, McLemore averaged 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 3-pointers while making a career-high .382 percent of his shots from deep. His -4.5 nERD left a bit to be desired, as it tied McLemore for 460th in the NBA out of 486 players.
