Oklahoma City Thunder forward Taj Gibson has agreed to join the Minnesota Timberwolves on a two-year, $28 million deal.
Gibson will be reunited with former Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibadeau and teammate Jimmy Butler. The 32-year-old Gibson will provide more veteran leadership to a young T-Wolves squad while backing up Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Deng in the frontcourt.
Gibson averaged 10.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 52.5% from the field with the Thunder and Bulls last season.
