Andre Iguodala set to meet with Spurs

When free agency starts, free agent guard/forward Andre Iguodala will meet with the San Antonio Spurs in Los Angeles, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

What It Means:

Iguodala seems to be using his leverage to force Golden State to raise their offer. Taking a meeting with the Spurs is a bold move, but the 2015 Finals MVP could easily make more money signing elsewhere this summer. Iggy's metrics were extremely strong in 2016-17, so he is in a nice position heading into the start of free agency on Friday night.

Iguodala is coming off averaging 7.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals over 26.3 minutes per game. He posted a career-high .605 effective field goal percentage and his nERD of 5.5 ranked him 36th among all players last year.
