Blake Griffin will meet with the Suns on Saturday
Los Angeles Clippers forward and unrestricted free agent Blake Griffin will meet with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, the first day of the new league year.
What It Means:
On Friday, Griffin opted out of his $21.4 million player option for 2017-18. He is eligible for a five-year, $172 million deal with the Clippers or a four-year, $128 million deal with a new team.
Griffin's nERD of 7.3 in 2016-17 would rank first on the team ahead of Tyson Chandler (2.5). He finished 12th in the NBA among all forwards.
