Chicago Bulls executive John Paxson stated that the franchise is "working under the impression" that guard Dwyane Wade will be a member of the Bulls this season.
Wade previously indicated that he would opt into his $24 million player option for the upcoming 2017-18 season. But, after the Bulls' draft night trade of Jimmy Butler, rumors have swirled about a mid-season buyout for Wade. Paxson has made it clear that the terms of the buyout would have to be "advantageous" for Chicago.
With a -0.7 nERD this past season, Wade ranked eighth on the team and in a tie for 105th among all NBA guards in 2016-17.
