Bulls' Dwyane Wade to pick up $24 million player option
Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade will reportedly pick up his player option worth $24 million for the 2017-18 season.
Can you blame the 35-year-old Wade on cashing in after playing arguably his worst NBA season in 2016-17? He averaged just 18.3 points while playing a career-low 29.9 minutes per game last year. The rumors of a total rebuild in Chicago did not scare Wade away from staying in his hometown. He now could be the leading man for a horrible Bulls' squad next season, if they do indeed trade away Jimmy Butler.
Wade posted career-lows with a 43.4% field goal percentage, 3.8 assists per game, and a 50.8% true shooting percentage. He also posted a -0.7 nERD rating, ranking him 269th out of 486 NBA players.
