Report: Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid did not re-break his foot
Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid did not re-break the navicular bone in his right foot, according to GM Sam Hinkie.
The initial reports out of Philadelphia were that Embiid had experienced "less healing than anticipated," but a later report indicated that Embiid had indeed re-broken his navicular bone. According to Hinkie, who describes himself as a "nightmare in the doctor's office" due to the amount of questions he asks, the doctors told him Embiid would have been in "a shocking amount of pain" if he did re-break the bone in his foot, which was not the case.
Either way, Embiid is expected to miss the entire 2015-16 year, his second straight missed season.
