Jonathon Simmons' strong showing not enough as Spurs get blown out in Game 2
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Jonathon Simmons drew the start with Kawhi Leonard (ankle) sidelined on Tuesday, and he scored a team-high 22 points to go with 3 rebounds and 3 assists as the Spurs were destroyed 136-100 by the Golden State Warriors.
It's obviously great to have Simmons step up like this, averaging 17.3 points, 2.7 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game over his last three, but Simmons is no Kawhi Leonard, and this is going to continue to be a rough series for the Spurs if Leonard doesn't get healthy soon.
Simmons finished Tuesday's blowout with a team-high 1.8 nERD, per numberFire Live.
