Wizards drop Game 7 despite a huge effort from Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal went off for 38 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 46 minutes of action on Monday as the Wizards fell 115-105 to the Boston Celtics, eliminating them from the playoffs.
The Wizards couldn't have asked for much more from Beal to close out this series with the season on the line. Facing elimination, he dropped 30-plus points in each of the last two games, only turning the ball over three times total and playing 40-plus minutes in each game.
The 2016-17 season was the most productive of Beal's young career. He averaged career-highs in both points (23.1) and assists (3.5) while adding 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. His 7.2 nERD was good for second among Wizards players and 27th in the NBA.
