An MRI taken on San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard's left ankle revealed no structural damage.
Fantastic news for Leonard and the Spurs, even though the team is expected to hold out their All-Star in Game 2 to give him five full days of rest for Game 3 on Saturday. Jonathon Simmons will fill in at small forward with Dejounte Murray seeing an uptick in minutes as well if Leonard sits on Tuesday.
Simmons had started eight games this regular season, averaging 7.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 28.3 minutes per game.
