Suns' Tyler Ulis undergoes minor ankle surgery
Phoenix Suns point guard Tyler Ulis underwent minor right ankle surgery on Wednesday.
There's a 12-week timeline on his return to basketball activity, so while this does put his ability to play in Summer League in jeopardy, he should be ready to go for training camp.
Ulis turned in a promising rookie season, averaging 7.3 points, 3.7 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game. Those numbers jumped to 16.1 points, 8.5 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 39.5 minutes per game over the last 15 games when he moved into the starting lineup. It wasn't an efficient year though, and his -3.6 nERD ranked 438th in the NBA.
