Portland Trail Blazers guard Allen Crabbe is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a stress reaction of the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot on Thursday.
The Trail Blazers initially described Crabbe's issue as "soreness," but another MRI determined surgery would be necessary. He's tentatively expected to be ready for the start of next season, although a firm timetable won't be made available until after the procedure.
Crabbe averaged 10.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.7 3-pointers per game this season. His .602 true shooting percentage was a career high while he finished sixth on the Blazers with a -0.6 nERD.
