Ryan Anderson anticipates coming off Rockets' bench
Houston Rockets forward/center Ryan Anderson said he expects to come off the bench for Game 5 against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday with Nene (groin) unavailable.
Anderson should still see plenty of minutes in the second unit while splitting time at the five with Clint Capela. Look for Eric Gordon to move into the starting lineup and bump Trevor Ariza up to the four-spot. Anderson hasn't come off the bench in any of the 81 games he's played this season, regular season or playoffs.
Through nine playoff contests, Anderson is averaging 9.3 points and 1.6 3-pointers on 38.7 percent shooting from the field while also pulling down 5.0 rebounds per game.
