Wizards' Markieff Morris plays well despite ankle injury
Washington Wizards power forward Markieff Morris (ankle) went 6-of-11 from the field on Tuesday, finishing with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block before fouling out after playing 27 minutes as Washington went on to drop Game 2 129-119 to the Boston Celtics in overtime.
Morris was a game-time decision heading into this one, but he played 27 minutes despite fouling out early, and it looks like he'll be able to handle a full workload moving forward. He has averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 blocks per game through eight contests in the playoffs so far.
Morris ranked second among Wizards players with a 7.0 nERD in the loss, per numberFire Live.
