Tony Parker puts up a huge game as Spurs advance to second round

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker made 11-of-14 from the field for 27 points with 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.

What It Means:

Parker hit the time machine before Game 6 and came out with a huge game, including a bucket in the game's final minute which helped seal it for the Spurs. If you take away his scoreless effort in Game 3, Parker averaged 19.6 points per game in the other five contests in this series and he should continue the role as the Spurs' third option on offense against the Houston Rockets in Round Two.

Parker is averaging 16.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists over 27.2 minutes per game this postseason. He has a .587 effective field goal percentage over his last six games and he finished the year with a -0.6 nERD, ranking him 259th in the NBA.
