Thunder's Enes Kanter working on developing a 3-point shot

Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter said he will work on developing a 3-point shot this offseason.

What It Means:

Adding a 3-point stroke to his arsenal would be nice for Kanter's fantasy value, but he might also want to focus on improving as a defender. As long as Kanter is inept on defense, he likely won't average much more than 20 minutes a night.

Kanter attempted 0.9 treys per 36 minutes this year -- a three-year high -- but knocked down just 13.2 percent of them. His usage rate was a career-high 27.3 percent this season, but he had a nearly replacement-level .183 defensive win shares per 48 minutes, which will continue to limit his playing time.
