Rajon Rondo fined $25,000 for attempted trip in Bull's Game 3 loss
Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for an attempted trip of Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder during Game 3 on Friday.
Rondo, who is sidelined with a thumb injury, stuck his leg out as Crowder ran past him in what looked like an attempted trip. While the point guard claims he was just stretching, the move looked suspicious enough to draw a fine. Rondo remains out for the next couple of weeks with a fractured thumb.
Rondo was huge in the first two games of the series, averaging 11.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists per contest.
