Spurs' Kawhi Leonard scores 43 points in overtime loss
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Kawhi Leonard was incredible during a 110-108 overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, scoring a playoff career-high 43 points with eight rebounds, three assists, six blocks and seven 3-pointers.
His fourth quarter was one for the ages, scoring the Spurs' final 16 points in regulation. The Grizzlies were throwing double-teams all over him for most of his halfcourt sets. "I'm taking suggestions on how to guard Kawhi Leonard," Grizz coach David Fizdale half-joked after the game. Leonard's offense has been unreal in this series as he matched his playoff career-high 32 in Game 1, set a new career high in Game 2 with 37, and followed that up with this explosion.
Leonard's 37.50 nERD led the Spurs, per numberFire Live, confirming just how important he was to their success.
